To check your PF (Provident Fund) balance, you can follow these steps:

  • Visit the EPFO Portal: Go to the official website of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) at https://www.epfindia.gov.in/.
  • Click on "For Employees": On the EPFO homepage, hover over the "For Employees" tab in the main menu, and then click on "Our Services" from the drop-down menu.
  • Select "Member Passbook": On the "Our Services" page, under the "Services" section, click on "Member Passbook".
  • Login to your Account: You will be redirected to the Member Passbook Login page. Enter your Universal Account Number (UAN), password, and the provided Captcha code. If you haven't activated your UAN, you will need to do so before proceeding.
  • Access Passbook and Check Balance: After logging in successfully, you will be directed to your EPF passbook, which displays your PF account details and transaction history. You can view your PF balance and contributions made by both you and your employer.

Alternatively, you can also check your PF balance using the UMANG App or the EPFO's missed call service. Here are the steps for each:

UMANG App:

  1. Download and install the UMANG App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Open the app and select the EPFO option.
  3. Click on "Employee Centric Services" and then "View Passbook."
  4. Log in with your UAN and OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number.
  5. Access your passbook and check your PF balance.

Missed Call Service:

  1. Ensure that your UAN is linked to your Aadhaar and bank account.
  2. Dial the toll-free number 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number.
  3. Follow the instructions and enter your UAN when prompted.
  4. After verification, you will receive an SMS containing your PF balance.

Remember to keep your UAN and login credentials secure to protect your PF account information. If you encounter any issues or have specific queries regarding your PF balance, it is advisable to reach out to the EPFO helpline or visit the nearest EPFO office for assistance.
